1.1 What is Moodle?

Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is a free, open-source learning management system (LMS) that offers educators, administrators, and learners a comprehensive, secure, and unified platform to develop customized learning environments. It is extensively employed for blended learning, online education, flipped classrooms, and various e-learning initiatives across schools, universities, workplaces, and other domains.

Other than that, Moodle also provides a broad array of tools and features for managing courses, creating content, facilitating communication and collaboration, and conducting assessments.
