The International Medical University (IMU) Library was established in 1993 to cater for the needs of students and academics of the university. Currently IMU has five libraries, which is in Bukit Jalil Main Campus and in the clinical campuses in Seremban, Kuala Pilah, Batu Pahat and Kluang.

A concept of collaborative and private areas was introduced when the library moved to the new footprint in mid-2008. The Collaborative Study Area is designated for supporting learning activities that are best done in groups. This is to support problem-based learning, inter-professional education and peer learning among others. The Private Study Area is designated for private study singly, or in groups in the provided group discussion enclosed areas. The library facilities and services are intended to be used by the IMU students and personnel only.

As of January 2023, the library provides access to a digital library of 176,123 titles of subscribed e-books, 9,319 titles of subscribed e-journals, and 37 databases which can be accessed by library users “anywhere, anytime” using any devices through the library portal. This collection is supplemented by a print collection of 41,855 copies of books and multimedia resources.
