intro

The IMU University Library was established in 1993 to cater for the needs of students and academics of the university. Currently IMU University has five libraries, which is in Bukit Jalil Main Campus and in the clinical campuses in Seremban, Kuala Pilah, Batu Pahat and Kluang.

A concept of collaborative and private areas was introduced when the library moved to the new footprint in mid-2008. The Collaborative Study Area is designated for supporting learning activities that are best done in groups. This is to support problem-based learning, inter-professional education and peer learning among others. The Private Study Area is designated for private study singly, or in groups in the provided group discussion enclosed areas. The library facilities and services are intended to be used by the IMU University students and personnel only.

As of January 2024, the library provides access to a digital library of 185,212 titles of e-books, 7,879 titles of e-journals and 36 databases which can be accessed by library users “anywhere, anytime” through the library portal. This collection is supplemented by a print collection of 34,192 copies of books.
